Raid Times

Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday; 10:00pm - 1:00am EST (invites will start promptly at 9:45pm)
Potential off night progression/ 10m / achievement groups may occur on Thursday, Friday, Saturdays

Current Officers: Jabini (Guild Master), Gorgrath, Cobaro, Holyshaman, Holyapple, and Woglinde.
All issues must be brought to the attention of one of these people first. No drama will be tolerated in LNPT in any form.

Recruitment

Applicants MUST:
Fully read and understand the rules of the guild and fill out the application completely. If you do not take the time to properly complete the app don’t be surprised if we quickly reject it. You should receive a response from an Officer or Jabini with in 1 week of posting to either setup an interview or be advised your app has been declined. In rare cases we may take longer than a week to provide some kind of reply due to how busy we may be. If you do not get a response with in 1 week directly contact any Officer or Jabini and we will get you a response as quickly as possible.

Attendance

You are expected to be on and ready to raid every raid night 100% of the time, however we understand this is a video game and real life can take precedence from time to time.If you are going to miss a raid night you must post in the attendance forum. If you miss a night and do not post you will be placed on probation and your raider status will have to be earned back. These issues will be handled on individual basis but generally 1 week from the night it occurs or 4 attended raids.
Missing more than 1 out of 8 raid days will put you in jeopardy with loot priority/raider status assuming you posted. These also will be handled on an individual basis. Even if you sitting for the current fight you should remain available to swap in quickly if needed as our needs can change from fight to fight. Failure to maintain an 80 percent or above attendance level will result in your loss of raid spot as that spot will be recruited for and replaced for a more reliable and ready raider.

Loot

Loot distribution will be done via Loot Council. All raiders must post their Best in slot gear on the forum under the correct post or forfeit any rights to loot until done. This list must be be kept up to date as new content is released.

Factors in determining loot distribution:
Class/role and usefulness in raid (i.e. Raiders able to benefit the raid with secondary specs)
Attendance
Raid Preparation - Not having a flask/food buff up during the pull or not coming to raid with basic encounter knowledge or understanding our strat (Strats will be posted in the correct forum), not coming prepared with gold for repairs
Performance - The best players get the loot. Generally we will try to be fair with loot distribution, however when it comes down to it the top performing dps/healer will get the best gear first in order to maximize raid benefit."
If you feel you have not got enough loot recently then evaluate your own performance and you will understand why.
Recent amount of loot received is considered, however this is not a trump factor in determining who gets what it is still possible to get multiple pieces in a week or run.
Attitude - Coming to raid with a negative or detrimental attitude or demeanor can effect getting loot and even a raid spot. (stop nit picking your fellow guildies)
Loot distribution will be tracked and posted
Leaving the instance or zone while loot is being distributed will be the same as forfeiting that piece of loot.
When it comes down to it, Loot Council is not a perfect system and we try our best to be fair to the best performing players while at the same time not every one is world’s best, but every one needs to get loot as a whole and we try to choose the most beneficial person to receive it.
Remember when we distribute loot keep in mind there is no one at any time that should think “I am entitled” to any piece of loot. The guild earned the loot that dropped and the guild receives the most benefit which is not always you.
Under no circumstances regardless of what an officer, gm, or who ever says there is no such thing as a piece of loot that will be promised to you ever (no exceptions). If you do not agree with a Loot Council decision the Loot Forum is where you can state your argument and it will be considered. However the format for this must be followed exactly as directed in the sticky on the forum or the thread with just be deleted with out a response. During raids is not the time for anything other than focus on the content and progression.

Reputation

Our reputation as a guild is important to us and as long as you wear the Late Night Pain Train tag you should act respectful to your other guildies, their families, and especially in public chat or pug raids. Racism, bigotry, and any thing that could be perceived as detrimental to the guild’s image will not be tolerated and may be met with extreme consequences.

Guild Rankings

GM/Conductor/Officer - These are the people who work hard to ensure the smooth operation of the guild so give them the due respect.
Raid Lead - During a raid any one of this rank has absolute control over the raid including strats, ending any chatter, discussions, ect. Simply put if they talk you shut up and listen.
If you any suggestions or do not agree with the current strat there will be time to discuss it or at any time you may just wish to send tells to any one Raid Lead or above to express your concern.
Raider - good attendance progression minded standard rank, status is based on your ability to perform raid mechanics not just that you top damage or healing meters. Also has access to guild repairs.
Probation - Lower loot priority, no guild repairs, no access to the gbank
Initiate Raider - new people that want to join our ranks as raiders, at least 1 month of this status to determine if you are LNPT material. We recognize some players may not achieve the skill we require and will be asked to leave/kicked. At the other end we will also recognize excellent players and may shorten the time frame, however this is not common.
Social - friends and family rank, non raiders, may sometimes be asked to join us on farm/fun nights not a common occurrence, and do not have equal loot priority

Raid Rules

The #1 rule during raids - think for yourself. If you see that some one crucial to a raid dies and you have a battle rez/ank/ss sometimes the reaction needs to be lightening fast. Part of the responsibility of playing a class with those abilities is examining the raid condition and sometimes not always making the call yourself. In general if its not called for don’t use it and don’t ask. This is not limited to those with special abilities this includes every aspect of a fight. You might have to make the call on where the safest place to stand is on your own because some one else failed to move away with a debuff. Bottom line is that when 1 person fails to a mechanic it will chain react causing a wipe, but if you are smart and pay attention to the changes then a possible wipe will become a kill.

Your own preparation is the corner stone to yours and the guilds progression. Failure to be prepared will affect your raider status and or loot priority.
During the raid night the Raid Leader is the absolute voice, what ever the Raid Leader says goes (note the redundancy here, there is a reason for it)
All raiders must have a basic understanding of the mechanics of the fights including boss/encounter abilities and the possible roles they may be required to fill
Dps if you have a dispell/decurse/heal/ect spell you may be required to use it during certain encounters this may also include changing specs.
When a Raid Leader calls a wipe you are to find the quickest way to die and utilize it, then get back into the instance asap ready to pull again
Wipe recovery expected to be quick and efficient - consistently being the last to get back and be ready may warrant you getting swapped out of the raid
All guilds face attendance issues as such we must over recruit and do not have a slot for every one every single night as such we will try to swap people in and out as fights move on. This does this mean you might be expected to step out on a boss you need gear off of, for comp reasons, or performance.
Last but not least Raid times are for raiding only, discussions with the officers/GM outside the topic of raid progression should be discussed before or after raid

Performance Evaluations

Raiders are required to bring 100% to every raid and every encounter (including farm content). A number of things will be examined during the raid week and those proving to be the lowest dps/healing, just under performing in general (its not always who tops the damage or healing meters), or even doing significantly less dps/healing than the previous weeks kill will warrant a chat with an officer. We understand some classes under-perform on certain fights, but until you are ranked #1 in the world on that fight you can always improve

If you need help with improving yourself speak with an officer or other raiders who might be able to shed some light on what you might do to improve. The guild is here to help you, because your success is ours. Keep in mind your own research should come first and that it is your greatest tool in becoming a great raider.

Remember evaluations are there for a reason and sometimes a raider may no longer perform at the level we require as such we may inform you that we are looking to replace you. At this point if you want to keep raiding with us you will have to show significant improvement and dedication to changing what ever may causing your poor performance. If you do not want this to happen to you then dps/heal well, pay attention to yourself and those around you, and always seek to improve yourself.

We want our raids to be enjoyable for every one, and to do this sometimes we have to keep tabs on you. What we do not want is to have to constantly talk with every raider about how to play or how to not fail at simple mechanics or have to replace you. Bottom line is our success starts with you and if you perform to the best of your ability on every fight then you along with the 24 other raiders will have fun.
